School House Osteopaths was established in 1996, offering both structural and cranial osteopathy. All the osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council.

We are located on the edge of Chelmsford, with parking on site.

Osteopathy is founded upon principles such as the importance of good structural and functional balance and good circulation.  We assist the body in optimising its drive towards self regulation and self healing. 

We are aware of the multifaceted aspects of health, which includes a person's mind, body, spirit and social context. 

Structural osteopathy focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. 

Cranial osteopathy has a particularly gentle and subtle approach.

We can treat patients of all ages from the new born to the elderly. Our hands-on treatment approaches include using joint articulation and manipulation, soft tissue stretching and massage to improve joint mobility and reduce muscular tension.

Patients seek treatment for a wide variety of conditions, including:

• General or occupational musculoskeletal pain

• Acute and chronic back, neck or joint pain

• Sciatica

• Pain and stiffness associated with arthritis

• Hip, knee, ankle and foot problems

• Shoulder, elbow and wrist problems

• Headaches due to neck and back problems

YOUR APPOINTMENT

On your first visit a full case history including medical details will be taken.

We will assess areas of tenderness, restriction or strain within your body and make a diagnosis. We will then discuss whether osteopathic treatment is appropriate and whether any follow up treatments may be beneficial.

Appointments usually last 30 to 45 minutes.
